Who I am?
I completed my MSc. (Hons.) and M. Phil degrees from BITS, Pilani in 1987. With the passion to teach I went ahead and did B.Ed. degree from Indira Gandhi Open University. I keep upgrading my knowledge in areas of curriculum development and English writing skills through MOOC courses. I am an active member of Early Childhood Association(ECA), India.
What I Do?
I am passionate about teaching and specialize in English skill development courses (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) for school children. I conceptualize, develop and conduct English skill development classes and summer camps for school children of all age groups.
For Story Telling, I, majorly use colourful flannel board cut-outs to engage children. To intrigue the little minds, I tell 'Cut and Tell' and 'Draw and Tell' stories too.
Also, I conduct training programs for school teachers in storytelling and communication.
My teaching is based on the theory of multiple intelligence. The learning experiences for the students are multi-sensory, so as to allow more cognitive connections to be made with a concept.
Outreach Programs I conduct
I have been engaged with British Council to develop and deliver the Reading Challenge program across schools in Hyderabad including Bharatiya Vidhya Bhawan Public School, Meridian School and Niraj Public school, in Hyderabad. I also run summer workshops at British Council as well as independently.
I has been actively involved with development and delivery of Communication Program for Eurokids School (Nallagandla).
Furthermore, I have been involved in the development of IELTS content for Prasme Education Pvt Ltd.
I am presently formulating Pre-school curriculum for Sha Manyu Global School, Chandanagar, Hyderabad for the academic year 2018-19
I also conduct Story Telling sessions at Indus International Junior School , Sha Manyu Global School, and New York Academy.
